For all you
Bill Plympton Fans, there's lots of new offerings to wet your appetite.
First is
Bill's Dirty Shorts, a new compilation of Bill's short films from the years of 1997 to 2002. If you liked "Plymptoons" and "Mondo Plympton", this is the third, long-awaited compilation of Bill's animation. Contains the film festival favorites "Sex & Violence", "The Exciting Life of a Tree", "More Sex & Violence", "Can't Drag Race with Jesus", "Eat", and "Parking", along with 11 commercials and 32 Flash animations. Please be warned- this DVD contains Adult material.
Next is
The Plympton Diaries, a double-disc set compiling the "behind the scenes" segments that detail every step in the process of making Bill's feature "Mutant Aliens", from concept and storyboards through pencil animation and painting, all the way to voices, editing and of course, the wrap party. For aspiring animators and filmmakers, there are also segments that cover financing, publicity and entering film festivals. A camera crew followed Bill around for three years of production to film this 3-hour DVD set.
Of course we've also got Bill's most recent short film, the funny and poignant
The Fan and the Flower, which chronicles the tender yet ill-fated love story between, you guessed it, a ceiling fan and a flower.
Also available is the
Plympton Ultimate Fan Package, DVD Edition. We've updated the Fan Package with some of the recently-released DVDs - ideal for new Plympton fans as well as veterans who want to complete their collection.
