Trnka Shorts, Best of Zagreb shorts now available

AWN is pleased to announce the availability of 2 volumes of shorts from one of the world's masters, Jiri Trnka. Many people consider Trnka the greatest puppet animator the world has ever seen. This Czech master continues to astound audiences, particularly those not familiar with his work. In 1966, four years before his death, Newsday lauded him as "second to Chaplin as a film artist because his work inaugurated a new stage in a medium long dominated by Disney."
In four decades Zagreb Film produced 600 animated films that won more than 400 international awards. The studio quickly became world renown for a unique animation style that became known as "the Zagreb school." We're now carrying 5 full volumes of their greatest works. A must for any serious animation collector, historian, teacher or fan!
