How To Succeed In Animation by Gene Deitch
Everything you ever wanted to know about animation, but were afraid he might tell you! Pictures and stuff you've never seen before. First hand facts about UPA and Terrytoons and Jam Handy (Jam who?) and Czech animation only he knows, and details of his most spectacular failures, that just might help you avoid the same. Gene has been over the hill and back again, and tells you what he thinks animation is all about, and how you should do it... Then he tells you how he did it and invites you to make coments and join him in making this an ongoing experience.
This is a highly personal view of animation, like none other, a book presented directly on the internet. Hate it, or love it. Your Choice.
The book has been formatted and compiled into an E-Book that you can purchase for download and printout. The book also can be viewed online in html format at
